Dear Sir or Madam
The way we all register to vote is changing
Everyone will soon need to register to vote individually. Until now, one person has been able to register a whole household. It’s very important that everyone understands this change and nobody loses their right to vote.
We would like your help in explaining and advertising this change. Some people will find this confusing or difficult and we want to make sure they are helped to register.
You could raise the issue at a meeting, put up a poster, add a link to documents or webpages, or provide information leaflets. More information is online here: http://www.gov.uk/yourvotematters or from me (my contact details are above.) I enclose an order form which you can use to order posters and leaflets.
We are also happy to attend meetings to explain the change – please ask us to.
Thank you for your help in making sure everyone keeps the right to vote and make their voice heard.
